      Description :

      A iron powder, low hydrogen type electrode producing a tough and ductile weld metal for welding heavy and rigid structures subjected to dynamic loading and impact. The weld metal is of radiographic quality and displays remarkable impact strength even at minus 46oC. Metal recovery is approx. 115%. Typical hydrogen content in weld-metal is 4 ml/100 gms.

      Recommendation :

      Retry electrodes at 350oC for one hour or at 250oC for two hours. Keep the re-dried electrodes in an holding oven having 70o-100oC temperature and use electrodes directly from holding oven. Control interpass temp.
